Though currently on a promotion trail for World War Z, Brad Pitt visited Good Morning America on Monday and spoke with host George Stephanopoulos a little bit about his fiancée Angelina Jolie and how she is now following her recent surgery.

"She's doing great," Pitt reportedly said about Jolie, who underwent a double mastectomy in February. "We're really surprised and moved by how many people are dealing with the same issue, or wondering about the same issue."

Pitt said Jolie, who has also planned to remove her ovaries, is now focusing on helping women get access to testing that could inform them if they carry the BRCA gene. Jolie is a carrier, which increased her chances of becoming diagnosed with cancer by 87 percent. Her mother died of ovarian cancer when she was 56.

"And she has certainly shown if you do your research and make your decision, what's best for you, it doesn't have to be a scary thing," Pitt also said of his fiancé.

Pitt has been making several stops to promote his upcoming movie. He recently returned from overseas where he visited London with Jolie to promote the film on June 2. The outing marked her first public appearance since she announced her double mastectomy procedure through a May Op-Ed in The New York Times.

The couple then flew to Berlin where they also promoted the action film on June 4. After Germany, Pitt made a stop in Australia but only took his son Pax along. The father and son enjoyed a day a boat trip while in the country on June 10.

In World War Z, Pitt plays Gerry Lane, a United Nations employee who is attempting to stop a Zombie pandemic that could destroy humanity.

The film hits U.S. theaters on June 21.
