Brad Pitt just bid a ridiculous amount of money to watch Game of Thrones with the "Mother of Dragons" herself, Emilia Clarke.

Pitt was ready to cough up six figures to watch an episode of the epic HBO series with Clarke. However, his bid was unsuccessful.

Sean Penn's Annual Charity Gala

The 54-year-old actor was among the A-listers who attended Sean Penn's annual "Steadying the Storm" gala for Haiti in Los Angeles, California on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Other celebrities who attended Saturday night's festivities included the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Susan Sarandon, Lena Dunham, Kit Harrington, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Tobey Maguire.

Brad Pitt Bids $120,000 To Watch 'GoT' Episode With Emilia Clarke

During the night's charity auction, the auctioneer announced the opportunity to watch an episode of Game of Thrones with Clarke, who plays the role of one of the show's main characters, Daenerys Targaryen. Clarke was also among the gala's attendees but did not share a table with her Game of Thrones costar Harrington.

The first bid to watch an episode of the popular series with Daenerys of House Targaryen started with $20,000 but escalated quickly. According to Variety, at one point during the auction, the auctioneer also asked if the "King of the North" was in the room. However, Harrington had just stepped out to use the washroom.

Losing The Bid

Interested in the opportunity, Pitt also placed an $80,000 bid before outbidding himself with a $90,000 bid. However, he jacked his bid up to $120,000 when Harrington walked back into the room and offered to be a part of the viewing. However, Pitt's bid proved to be unsuccessful after an unidentified individual outbid him to claim the prize for $160,000.

If Pitt did win the auction for a chance to watch an upcoming episode of Game of Thrones with Clarke, he would have to wait until 2019. The network recently confirmed that Season 8 of the HBO series will arrive next year.

An NBA Weekend Experience

However, Pitt did not go home empty-handed. He did win an NBA weekend experience with San Antonio Spurs, which not only includes tickets to an NBA game but also a ride on the team's plane in addition to VIP seats at the team's practice sessions and game in Texas.

Clarke also picked up a prize at the auction after engaging in a little bidding war with DiCaprio over the same Josh Smith painting. However, both stars took home one of Smith's artworks at the end of the night.
