The flu season is still running rampant around the country. Thousands of people are fighting the illness and not even our favorite celebrities are immune.

Wendy Cancels The Show

One celebrity that encountered the flu virus was talk show host Wendy Williams. The illness has forced Williams to cancel several tapings.

"Wendy is still experiencing flu-like symptoms and so she can rest up and get better, we have decided to cancel tapings the rest of the week," a Wendy Williams Show representative told Enstars.

The On-Air Scare Seen Around The World

Fans of the outspoken Emmy-nominated talk show host have seen Williams deteriorate in front of their eyes. On Oct. 31, 2017, Williams, dressed as the Statue of Liberty, was about to host her annual Halloween contest when she slurred her words and suddenly fainted on live television.

The show immediately went black and then when the show was almost over, Williams returned to the stage to say goodbye to the viewers. After fans and media outlets expressed their concerns over social media, Williams and her team took to the show's social media feeds and explained that she would discuss the incident on the Nov. 1 show.

"A lot of people thought that was a joke, me fainting on my set. That was not a joke. I don't want to fall. I'm a tall woman and it's a long way down," said Williams on the Nov. 1 episode.

Williams graphically revealed the moments that led her the fall seen around the world.

"I was about to go to the teleprompter and that is where you saw the eyes. It was really scary, all I kept thinking about in the middle of the scare was don't pull the podium over on you. That would make for worse," said Williams.

Wendy As A Hot Topic

As the talk show host continues to recover from her illness, Williams continues to make headlines as she lent her opinion to several hot ticket items in the celebrity world.

On a recent episode of The Wendy Williams Show, the talk show host told former 90210 star AnnaLynne McCord that Meghan Markle applied for a job. Markle was an extra on the old The CW drama.

She also got in the middle of Remy Ma, Tamar Braxton, and Vincent Herbert's drama. The talk show host stated that the former The Real co-host's ex-husband was so busy trying to gain his wife back that he forgot his obligations to Remy Ma.

Kris Jenner set Wendy in her sights after she declared war on the talk show host. She forbid her entire family from sitting down with her and is also urging her friends not to go on The Wendy Williams Show.
