Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are facing new rumors of a reunion and no one is reportedly happier than the actor's mother, Jane Pitt.

While the news of Pitt and Aniston's alleged encounter has yet to be confirmed, it seems Jane wouldn't mind if the rumors were true and still thinks of the Friends actress as part of her family.

“Brad‘s mom Jane has always had a soft spot for Jennifer, even after the divorce they kept in touch for years,” an insider told Hollywood Life on March 24. “She hated the way things ended between Brad and Jen so it’s a big relief that they‘ve mended fences. She‘s so happy that they‘re back in touch.”

Brad's Mom Has Been Hoping Her Son Would Reconnect With His Former Wife

While Jane hasn't said anything publicly about her son's more recent split from Angelina Jolie, or his potential reunion with Aniston, the source said that it was "no secret" that Jane would love to see a reunion take place between Pitt and Aniston.

“[Jane] thinks the world of Jen and still thinks of her as part of the family," the source said.

This All Started With George Clooney?

Earlier this month, a source explained to Star magazine, via Hollywood Life, that it was actually George Clooney who supposedly facilitated the reunion between Pitt and Aniston. As the insider explained, Clooney immediately reached out to Pitt after hearing that his ex-wife Jolie had filed for divorce and wanted to be there for him in any way possible. Then, when Clooney learned Aniston and her former partner, Justin Theroux, had also called it quits, he reportedly encouraged his longtime friend to reach out to her and give their relationship a second chance.

When And Where Did Brad And Jennifer's Meeting Take Place?

According to Star's report, Clooney arranged for Pitt to be taken to Aniston's house after a pre-Oscars party on March 3 so that they could spend time with one another.

“[Brad and Jen’s] evening together was very relaxed and low-key," the source said.

Throughout their evening, Pitt and his former partner reportedly spoke of the past times they've shared with one another and enjoyed a number of laughs as they reminisced. Although a reconciliation certainly is far from confirmed, the couple supposedly realized that their relationship was quite good when they were together years ago.

What Is 'Gossip Cop' Saying About The Rumors?

While fans may not know for sure for now if Pitt and Aniston have indeed made contact with one another, either in person or via phone, Gossip Cop claims that the reports about the former couple's alleged meeting at Clooney's home are false and with that, there is no way for Pitt's mom to have had a reaction to the news.
