Newly reunited couple Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are engaged. The pop star pops the question to his supermodel lady while on vacation in the Bahamas.

Something Special Is Happening

The 24-year-old reportedly got down on one knee Saturday evening to ask for the 21-year-old's hand in marriage while they were enjoying a romantic dinner at a local restaurant.

Eyewitnesses claim the pop star's security requested that everyone put their phones away as something very special was about to go down. Bieber then proposed in front of everybody. A source close to the couple confirms to TMZ that the two are indeed engaged.

Apparently, although the engagement will come as a shock to fans of the high profile couple, it's not actually too much of a surprise.

"It's kind of a surprise, but kind of not. Justin has been extremely happy these past few weeks. He has known Hailey for a long time. This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well," a source confirmed to PEOPLE.

The couple is both members of the celebrity-friendly Hillsong church, and according to insiders, they've bonded primarily over their shared faith.

Congratulations All Round

The supermodel's famous actor dad, Stephen Baldwin, took to Twitter to congratulate the happy couple.

"Sweet smile on my face! me&wife (Kennya) Always pray 4 Gods will !! He is moving in the hearts of JB&HB Let's all pray for His will to be done Love you 2 so much !!!," he wrote.

Bieber's father Jeremy, meanwhile, who got married himself back in February, with the pop star attending the ceremony with then-girlfriend Selena Gomez, hinted at the news on Instagram Sunday.

He wrote that he is incredibly proud of his son, and is looking forward to the next chapter in his life. Elsewhere Bieber's mother, Patti Mallette, simply wrote the word "love" over and over in celebration of her son's big news.

Locals spotted Bieber and Baldwin dancing at a restaurant Friday night. The next day, they were seen again packing on the PDA on a beach.

Not Hiding Their Love

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind for the recently reunited couple. They were photographed holding hands and kissing each other all over the east coast.

This past weekend, they were seen smooching while on a stroll through a Brooklyn garden after taking lunch at a local eatery.

Last month, the pair was seen making out in Brooklyn's Domino Park as per footage obtained by TMZ. They leaned against a handrail and wrapped their arms protectively around each other in full view of other parkgoers.

Although the two dated briefly a couple years back and have only recently got back together, the "Sorry" hitmaker is reportedly happier than ever with Baldwin, whom he has always had a lot of love for, according to insiders.

The supermodel and TV host recently revealed in a wide-ranging interview with UK paper The Times that the two went through a period of not speaking after initially splitting back in 2016.

That same year, Bieber told GQ that he didn't want to rush things with Baldwin out of fear of hurting her, in case they wanted to tie the knot someday.

"What if Hailey ends up being the girl I'm gonna marry, right? If I rush into anything, if I damage her, then it's always gonna be damaged. It's really hard to fix wounds like that. It's so hard ... I just don't want to hurt her," he said at the time.

The Canadian pop sensation dated fellow singer and actress Selena Gomez from 2010 to 2012 before the two rekindled their relationship in October of last year. Although things have since fizzled out yet again, they were last spotted together as recently as March.

Meanwhile, Baldwin was most recently linked to another Canadian crooner, Shawn Mendes, whom she accompanied to the Met Gala back in May. The model was quick to tell The Times that they were just friends, however, which Mendes himself confirmed with the press.

Bieber and Baldwin's engagement comes in the wake of another pop star, Ariana Grande's, engagement to Pete Davidson after just a few weeks of dating. It's worth noting that Grande and Bieber share the same manager.
