Jennifer Aniston says the "Friends" stars are working on something -- but definitely not on a reboot.

On Monday's "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," the 50-year-old actress, film producer and businesswoman popped in the middle of Ellen DeGeneres' interview with singer and "Friends" superfan Charlie Puth, much to the surprise and excitement of the latter.

Ellen took the chance to go ahead and ask the lingering question bugging all of the "Friends" fans: "Is there going to be a reunion?"

"Like a reboot? No," Aniston answered, much to the disappointment of Puth and the audience.

Aniston's response echoed the words of the show's creators in the recent Tribeca TV Festival.

However, Aniston added that the cast would love to work together again. She said: "Listen, we would love for there to be something, but we don't know what that something is. So we're just trying. We're working on something."

Puth answered that he would love to be part of that "something" they were working on, offering to do the music and sing the theme song with Ellen.

DeGeneres pressed for more details and asked if it would be a movie.

"Huge, huge, huge movie," Aniston teased. She quickly added, though: "No, we don't know."

The Morning Show and The Kiss

On the same episode, Aniston promoted the launch of her new Apple TV show "The Morning Show," arriving on November 1.

Aniston also asked the host about her kiss with Howard Stern that happened earlier this month. The two joked on whether DeGeneres enjoyed the kiss, and whether the comedienne kisses men often. Ellen then explained that it was Stern who proposed the idea.

"When's the last time you kissed a girl on the lips?" DeGeneres asked Aniston.

"I don't kiss girls on the lips," the actress answered.

The comedienne then leaned forward on her chair, causing the audience to break into cheering. Aniston then followed suit and gave DeGeneres a peck on the lips.

Aniston, who played the role of Rachel Green on the NBC sitcom, recently opened an Instagram account. For her Instagram debut, she and the other "Friends" stars posed for a selfie, which ignited the fans' desire to see the cast together for the show again.

On making her social media account, Aniston previously said that these platforms could be used to "share information, connect with your fans, right wrongs that are said about you, have fun, make fun of yourself, make fun of people" and even "help animals get rescued."
