You may have seen Michael Rosenbaum portray Lex Luther on Smallville, but the actor wouldn't mind having a whirl in the Man of Steel universe.

Back in June Buzz Focus made a list of the actors they belive should be upfor the running to play the manipulative Luther should Man of Steel spawn a sequel and cast the part. Michael Rosenbaum, John Glover, Bryan Cranston, John Hamm, Dean Norris, Michael Chiklis, Peter Dinklage, Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Strong, and Aidan Gillen all made the list.

Rosenbaum saw the list and enlisted Superman fans to spread the idea via his Twitter (while also jokeingly telling Cranston to stick to Breaking Bad)

"Can the Superman fans out there spread the word that there's really no other choice. Let Cranston stick to meth. Thanks," Rosenbaum tweeted.

Smallville fans resurrected themselves after two years of dormancy and rallied behind their former villains cause.

"He was awesome as Lex in Smallville! One of my favorite shows!! :)," tweeted one fan while another credited his good acting even after the show began to fail.

Rosenbaum responed to all the attention the idea was reciving, tweeting again and this time complimenting Man of Steel director Zack Snyder on a previous work.

"Love the support from my Man of Steel tweet. I know it's a long shot, but thanks! Really cool & Dawn of the Dead ruled @ZackSnyder @JamesGunn," said Rosenbaum.

If a Man of Steel sequel aims to bring back Lex Luther, maybe they will choose to go with an already tested - and clearly loved - talent.
