Denizens of the Internet are gearing up for the charitable mayhem of GISHWHES.

The 'Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen' recently opened registration and is slated to begin in three weeks time on Aug. 11.

Organized by Supernatural actor Misha Collins, founder of Random Acts, GISHWHES is a competition that combines charity and art. Teams form with members from all around the world and complete tasks from an official list over the course of a week in order to score the most points. Last years winning team won a trip to Scotland to spend the night in a castle with Collins.

Tasks for the competition are wide, varied, and sometimes downright strange. Some of the items from previous years include a photograph of a bust or statue of Nicolae Ceaușescu wearing a sock monkey hat for 14 points, A woman wearing a dress (and only the dress) made entirely from bacon for 43 points, a video of a church choir singing Eye of the Tiger in church for 32 points, a joust in a library, hug a veteran, and a news report of a flying Christmas tree. In addition, the Guinness World Records winning event collected 93,376 charitable pledges for Acts of Kindness.

While the list of tasks won't be revealed until the competition begins, this year's winners will win a trip to Vancouver, Canada with Collins. In the meantime, potential participants can check out a new video from the actor that explains the event and shows what teams have submitted in the past.
