Andrew Garfield, the star of this summer's "The Amazing Spider-Man" has revealed he wasn't wearing anything beaneath his skintight Spidey costume.

The young British actor said on the "Ellen Degeneres Show" Monday the suit wasn't very comfortable either.

"It's made of something that's like, designed to make you irritated. I don't know what the exact material name is but that's the description under there," he said.

Host Ellen wondered if he wore something underneath, guessing any underwear lines would show.

Garfield nodded indicating there was nothing.

"It's terrifying," he said bashfully. "It's the worst."

He explained his unease by recalling a time when filming took place at a parking lot in Los Angeles within full view of the paparazzi.

They were taking "unflattering shots of my - you know - everything," he said.

"Knowing that your keister is being shot from many different angles makes you very uncomfortable," he said.
