Anna Kendrick, unlike many film stars, seems unfazed by the whole glamorous Hollywood scene.

On July 17, the 27-year-old actress was walking through New York's Port Authority when a childhood flashback came back to her. "Port Authority. Used to sleep here when I was I teenager waiting for bus home after auditions in NYC," Kendrick tweeted along with a picture.

She then added, "F*** glamour." While the phrasing can be interpreted in various ways, it seems she meant how she worked her way to the top and is still not into all the glitz and glamour that comes with fame.

Before she became famous, Kendrick used to take a bus from her hometown in Portland, Maine to NY to go to auditions. She landed her first role in 1998 as Dinah in the Broadway Musical, High Society. At 12 years old, she became the third youngest Tony Award nominee ever.

After appearing in the Twilight franchise as Jessica (Bella Swan's friend), Kendrick had her break-through role starring alongside George Clooney in Up in the Air. The young starlet received nominations for "Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role" for both the Golden Globes and Oscars in 2010.

Now that she's no longer just a face, Kendrick believes she hasn't "really changed."

"I feel really lucky to be doing the work I'm doing, but everything else around me is basically the same," she said in an interview with Company magazine. "I still prefer sitting at home watching movies instead of going out to bars."

She also admitted how she hates attending movie premieres. "I hate it. It's literally the worst thing in the world, but I'm trying to get better at it," she said. "It is part of the job...so I just smile through it, look pretty and pretend the photographers aren't yelling at me."

However, after her hit song from Pitch Perfect, Cups (When I'm Gone), took off and reached Billboard's Hot 100'sTop 10, Kendrick seemed fazed that her singing-side became so admired. "Holy s*** it's happening. I'm hearing my song on the radio. Every music biopic ever has taught me this will lead to drugs and madness ... #sweet," she tweeted.

Kendrick's next feature film, Drinking Buddies, hits theaters August 23.
