Producers of The View are reportedly "very interested" in Hoda Kotb, as a possible replacement for the outgoing Joy Behar.

According to The NY Post, a source said that the 48-year-old, who already has her own show with Kathie Lee Gifford  has a personality that "addresses several of The View's needs."

"She has news experience, which is something The View has not had since Meredith Vieira left. She also adds some diversity to the panel," the source added.

When asked for a comment, ABC denied the rumors, saying, "there's absolutely zero truth to this whatsoever."

The View has undergone a few changes in the last month, including Behar's upcoming departure and Elisabeth Hasselback leaving the show to join FOX.

At the time of Hasselback's exit, the show's creator, Barbara Walters praised the outspoke Republican for her contributions.

"When Elisabeth survived 'Survivor' we wanted to make sure she would stay afloat. We have had ten wonderful years with Elisabeth and she will now be swimming in new waters. We will miss her and wish her everything good," Walters said.

Hasselback was replaced by Jenny McCarthy and Behar's farewell episode will air Aug. 9.

Meanwhile, Kotb has co-hosted with Gifford since 2007, and the two have won America over with their sassy attitudes and love for wine, grooming themselves as the "Thelma & Louise" duo of daytime TV, The Post noted.

The fourth hour is a ratings boost for "Today," while the earlier programming slots have fought hard to keep viewers in the wake of last year's exit of Ann Curry.

However, NBC executives are willing to do what's necessary to keep the Hoda and Kathie together.

"Hoda loves her job at 'Today' and she's very happy laughing and scratching with Kathie Lee every day," a source said.
