Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson may have been embroiled in a well-publicized issue over the past few months after the latter confirmed that he fathered Maralee Nichol's baby son, but it seems like the two are spending time with each other as the reality star dropped a significant hint on social media.
According to OK! Magazine, reconciliation rumors began swirling after the Good American CEO shared a video on her Instagram stories.
Kardashian showed off the lavish gift she received from her sister Kourtney Kardashian and her brand Poosh for Valentine's Day in the short snap.
The present features several baskets of romance-themed gifts such as adult toys, nightgowns, beauty products, and many more.
However, aside from the overflowing gifts, many fans pointed out another interesting part of the video in which they heard the ex-couple's daughter, True Thompson, in the background.
The kid was off-camera, but she could be heard singing, yelling, and at one point, saying, "Happy birthday, daddy!"
The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star did not pay attention to her daughter and went on to thank her sister for sending her the lavish gift baskets, saying, "I just received the best Poosh gift and gift from my sister Kourt of course."
The incident was later tackled in a Reddit thread about the Kardashians, with the user saying they noticed True yelling "Dad" in the background and started talking to someone.
However, one user theorized that the possible reason why the ex-couple is spending time with each other is that they have to co-parent True Thompson.
At the time of this writing, Khloe Kardashian has not publicly commented on the matter; she also did not confirm whether she's back with the NBA star.
The recent news comes a few weeks after Tristan Thompson made rounds online after being spotted with a mystery woman following his bombshell apology to his ex-girlfriend.
A user from TikTok shared a video of him hanging out with a girl, who appears to be sitting on his lap, amid his paternity scandal. He was seen laughing and chatting with the person at a bar in Milwaukee.
Kardashian and Thompson have reportedly split since June last year because of his issue with Sydney Chase. Another woman named Maralee Nichols later came into the spotlight and alleged that the athlete was the father of her baby.
The Sacramento Kings star initially denied the accusations but later took responsibility for his actions and publicly admitted his wrongdoings.
