If you haven't seen Season One of Upload, you might just want to get on that because this March one of the best forgotten shows of the pandemic is coming back to Amazon Prime Video.

For the uninitiated, Upload tells the story of Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell), a nice guy who dies and has his consciousness uploaded into a digital program where the elite can live out their best afterlife amongst their peers. Paid for by his rich, vapid girlfriend Ingrid (Allega Edwards), who prematurely has the same procedure, Nathan is forced to play by her rules given that she fits the bill for him, without his permission. To add further complications, everyone uploaded has an "Angel", or a living customer service agent who acts as their guide through the digital world and Nathan has sparked a romance with Nora, his Angel (Angie Allo).

In the second season we finds Nathan trying to acclimate to having Ingrid spend eternity with him, while dealing with his feelings for Nora, her having a new boyfriend, a deeper look into what happens to those who can afford to live digitally, and the creepiest bit, "prototykes" or badly rendered adult-faced children for those customers who want to be parents.

Created by Greg Daniels (The Office and Parks And Rec), the series is a lighthearted sitcom about losing what it is to be human while extending our own existence through artificial means. It tackles class structure, intrusive corporate interference into our lives, and the simple pleasure of finding a true personal connection through it all. This show has layers of comedic joy that beg to be watched.

Upload Season 2 drops on Amazon on March 11th. Until then, check out the trailer below.
