After years of feud rumors and speculations, Sarah Michelle Gellar has shared her side of the story between her and onscreen BFF Alyson Hannigan's shortcomings while filming "Buffy The Vampire Slayer."

Despite the drama series being composed of several cast members, the 44-year-old actress has always been the face of the show. Her fame led to rumors circulating about feuds and fights behind closed doors.

Today, Gellar expressed her thoughts and shared what went down on set through Evan Ross Katz's latest book titled "Into Every Generation a Slayer Is Born: How Buffy Staked Our Hearts."

The actress admitted a tension behind the scenes while filming the show in the late 90s until 2003. But as she's looking back at the past, the star said she and her co-stars could have handled the situation better.

Gellar said the set and the "world" they were in was pitting them against each other. If the show was filmed today, she said it would have been different, but she clarified that she now has a "great relationship" with her co-stars. (via Hollywood Life)

"Look, we worked really hard hours. We were young, we had ups and downs. Everybody had arguments," the actress admitted.

In addition, she named David Boreanaz as someone who could be "a handful," before saying nobody gets along all the time.

Regarding her friendship with Alyson Hannigan, the actress confirmed they had "moments," but there are no more questions because they were both young.

In the book, both Boreanaz and Hannigan declined to contribute their statements. But in Gellar's case, she had no problems discussing the long-gone rumors and tensions that went down on set.

At the time of their filming, Gellar said she had a lot of things on her shoulders, and she's not using it as an excuse.

Looking back at her actions, there were times that she could have done things in a different direction, but she didn't know what to do because of stress.

"I was really young and I didn't have any outside life. I was the one that was always working and sometimes I would be resentful of the fact that they didn't have to work all the time," she added.

Aside from the actors mentioned above, other "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" cast includes Charisma Carpenter, James Marsters, Nicholas Brendon, and many more.

The show ran for over six years with over 144 episodes.
