Pete Davidson already showed interest in Kim Kardashian before her "Saturday Night Live" appearance.
In the past six months, Pete and Kim have been showing a stable relationship despite Kanye West's tirades. Most people who ship them thank "SNL" for leading their ways toward each other, but the couple already felt a spark before Kim's appearance on the show.
The KKW Beauty mogul recently sat for an interview on the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast, where she shared more details about her relationship with Pete. According to Kim, the comedian had been asking around for her number following her divorce from the "Jesus is King" rapper.
Fortunately, they got connected at the Met Gala on September 13.
At that time, the 28-year-old reportedly knew about her "SNL" hosting stint already, but it had not been announced to the public yet.
"He came up to me, and we were talking about SNL, and I was like, 'They better hurry up and announce it ... [so I don't] back out," she said, as quoted by Yahoo! News.
Pete reportedly gave her advice about hosting, telling Kim to take his number so she could contact him if she needed anything.
However, the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star appeared at the event wearing her one-of-a-kind blackout gown. Since she also had her gloves on, she failed to get her phone and have his number.
When Pete walked away, that was only the time she realized that she should have let him take her number.

As they were never connected at the Met Gala, Kim revealed that their on-screen kiss in the "Aladdin" sketch also never built a bridge between them - although it sparked something.
However, one week later, the pair were spotted holding hands on a roller coaster ride at Knott's Berry Farm. Dating buzz started to surface at that time, and they became a thing since then.

Even before the Met Gala, Pete reportedly had been asking mutual friends for her number. He purportedly started making his moves after hearing about her divorce.
"His story is that he had been asking around for my number, and everyone wasn't sure, you know, 'Is she going through a divorce?' and he just wanted to wait a little bit," Kim went on.
Since he was already interested in her, their first kiss immediately became the turning point of their relationship. From there, they began dating and started working harder to make their love work.
