Since it premiered in 2000, MTV's Jackass has been a pioneer in the world of cringe humor and stunt based antics. Thought to have come to an end after their much anticipated 4th big screen movie, Jackass Forever, Paramount+  has decided to keep the laughs coming for a new generation of fans.

In a decision announced during a Q1 earnings call on Tuesday by Paramount Global CEO Bob Backish, who said:

"Based off the success of Jackass Forever, we're working with the creators to continue the partnership with a new series, bringing even more ridiculous antics straight to Paramount+."

The film brought in a whopping $23,154,388 in domestic box office sales opening weekend, with a worldwide gross of $80,340,218. Made for an estimated budget of roughly $10 million, it is only logical that they decided to green-light new episodes of the series for the streaming service.

In an interview with Variety to promote Jackass Forever, figure head of the troop, Johnny Knoxville mentioned that he was ready to hand the series over to a younger group. (Guess there's only so long before retirement from getting shot out of a cannon or or clobbered by a charging bull becomes the only choice.)

Details about who will star in the revamped series have yet to come to light, but you can watch the old crew (and some new faces) abuse their bodies for our pleasure when Jackass Forever streams on Paramount+ on May 20th.
