It's May The 4th - Star Wars Day for the uninitiated, and of course, Disney+ had something special saved for fans of the galaxy far, far away: A full length Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer!

Disney+ has been teasing this limited series nonstop since it was announced a while back, especially after the wild success of The Mandalorian (although not so much The Book of Boba Fett). Reprising his role as Obi-Wan, Ewan Mcgregor is dusting off his lightsaber and setting up shop on the desert planet of Tatooine, where he is hiding after the events of Revenge of the Sith - keeping an eye on a young Luke Skywalker, who is now under the care of his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru.

The trailer gives us glimpses into what we can expect, like the Sith heavies who are on the hunt for the legendary Jedi, including Moses Ingram as Inquisitor Reva and Rupert Friend playing the Grand Inquisitor.

But that's not all, kids.

The man in black himself, Darth Vader, is joining the hunt for his former Master, with Hayden Christensen coming back to the franchise.

The show looks to be a 'righting of the shi'p in terms of tackling the backstory of a beloved character, after the comically disastrous continuation of Boba Fett's tale, which largely left fans cold. Sharp, exciting, and expansive, Obi-Wan Kenobi seems to be delivering more of what they want, with a narrative stretching beyond just a desert planet.

Check out the trailer for yourself and get excited again! Obi-Wan Kenobi drops its first two episodes on Disney+ on May 27th.
