Tom Cruise may have caused chaos in Windsor on Sunday afternoon before to his participation in The Queen's Platinum Jubilee festivities. And while that is understandable - because he is Tom Cruise, this does not mean the royal fans would like it. They found him attention-seeking, partly ruining a day that was not meant to be his.

Tom Cruise, whose long-awaited film "Top Gun: Maverick" will be released in theaters at the end of this month, was criticized online for "promoting" his next picture during the special evening.

During the celebration evening, the 59-year-old American film star, whose estimated net worth is £490.2 million, sat down for an interview with Phillip Schofield and Julie Etchingham, but was quickly at the center of Twitter conversation after chatting at length about his new picture. "Every film I make is important, but this one, people have been asking for decades. For decades I've been thinking "what could I do?," the Hollywood icon told Phillip, 60, and Julie, 52.

Tom's development of the new installment was "emotional," but his decision to create a sequel to the financial success was "for the fans."

While the actor praised the queen, ITV viewers were unimpressed with the greater emphasis placed on his latest career endeavor. Why is Tom Cruise promoting his next picture now? Most irate fans asked. Some said the actor's action is not that surprising.

He was probably at the event only because he got something to promote. "So you think if #TomCruise didn't have a big film release, would he have appeared here for #platinumjubilee ??," one tweeted.

Tom, attired in a suit and tie and got mobbed, but exclaimed somewhere in his interview that it was an honor to be at the event and certainly a privilege.
