Tounge Out Tuesday is trending on Twitter, and the reason is adorable.

We all have tongues. We eat with them. We taste with them. The tongue, while not the strongest muscle in the body, is arguably the one with the most versatility in terms of both strength and flexibility.

People are constantly sticking their tongues out. As a kid on the playground, you quickly learn that that is an easy way to get under somebody's skin. When taking a Coachella-style selfie, it seems to be law that someone in the picture is at least partially sticking their tongue out.

However, Tongue Out Tuesday is trending for an even BETTER reason.

 

 

  Yes, humans have tongues, but do you know who else does? Animals. We all know that just about everything an animal does is one thousand times cuter than when a human does it. We are sorry to have to break the news to you, but it is simply fact.

On this Tongue Out Tuesday, people have taken to Twitter to post adorable pictures of their pets with their tongues sticking out of their mouths. Yes, it is as adorable as it sounds.

Most of the pictures are of different dogs and cats, but there are a few other animals that have made their way onto the walks of Twitter tongue out fame. There is a picture of a goat named Rasberry that we are PERFECTLY obsessed with.

There are also some animals that are doing more than sticking their tongues out. They are also twisting them up in different and exciting ways.
