Jeff Bridges publicized his cancer and COVID-19 battle again and revealed what helped him survive the dreaded illnesses.

Bridges fought for his life in the past months especially when he contracted COVID-19 while battling cancer.

In a new interview on "Good Morning America," the "Iron Man" star broke his silence about his tough health issues and expressed his gratitude that he is still alive.

"Well dealing with the cancer, you know, having chemo treatments that stripped my immune system. And once I got the COVID, I had nothing to fight it with in my body. So that was pretty tough," he said, as quoted by Fox News.

Thankfully, he found hope as he received love and support from his family and fans.

According to Bridges, the love and energy made him feel better and saved his life.

Host Lara Spencer then asked him if Bridges changed his outlook on his illness after feeling fans' love. For the actor, he got the same outlook - but an intensified one - because of the people who supported him.

Previously, Bridges revealed to CBS "Sunday Morning" that his wife felt extremely worried as he looked like he was already going to die when he contracted COVID-19 in January 2021, during which the vaccine was not available yet.

He spent five weeks in the ICU before beating COVID-19.

His recovery came nearly two years since he revealed on Twitter that he was diagnosed with lymphoma.

"As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light. I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good," he revealed.

He disclosed that he felt something unusual in his stomach while doing a home workout. At that time, he had his body checked and discovered a 12-by-9-inch tumor in his body.
