Queen Elizabeth II's health seems to be in jeopardy as she looked frailer than ever during the Garter Day.

Royal fans were left scared and anxious after seeing Queen Elizabeth II's new photo. The image in question, shared by Express UK, featured the monarch alongside Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, and Prince Charles during the Garter Day.

The Queen, who has been in and out of the spotlight during her Platinum Jubilee celebration, used a cane again following her episodic mobility problems.

They became more worried about her health as she failed to step out to celebrate the event alongside the central members of the royal family.

According to the royal family's website, they celebrate Garter Day annually to announce new appointments in the Order of Garter - the "oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain."

Queen Elizabeth II sparked more worries as she officially prepared Camilla to become queen consort by making her a Royal Lady of the Order of the Garter. The Duchess of Cornwall will assume the position once the queen dies and Prince Charles becomes king.

Queen Elizabeth II Already Feeling Some Discomfort

Aside from mobility problems, the Queen's recent "discomfort" kept her away from the Service of Thanksgiving.

Buckingham Palace did not mention what discomfort the Queen exactly felt. But it happened after she stepped onto the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside the other members of the family during the first event of her Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the Trooping the Colour.

The event probably exhausted the Queen as she traveled from Windsor Castle to Buckingham Palace. She also stood for a long time alongside the Duke of Kent and was seen leaning on a walking stick most of the time.

According to royal writer and professor of marketing and consumer research at Royal Holloway, University of London, Pauline Maclaran, people have already been wondering what would happen after the Queen dies.

"We know who comes next in the line - Charles - even if, of course, many people want to see Prince William become king. But more than that, this family is going to hit a rocky patch. None of these men are as popular as the queen or as known globally," she told Los Angeles Times (via Page Six).

She added that the monarch became frailer after losing Prince Philip and falling ill due to several health issues.

For now, royal fans hope that the Queen will continue to hang in there for the monarchy.
