The Toronto Blue Jays and MLB community sent their condolences to the family of Mark Budzinski after his daughter, Julia, died.

The Daily Mail and NBC News released the shocking news about Budzinski's daughter, Julia Budzinski, after the 17-year-old died in Virginia.

On Monday, authorities confirmed that Julie died on weekend following a boating accident.

The news outlets detailed that she was one of the two girls who fell off a tube that was being pulled by a boat on the James River.

According to Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources spokesperson Paige Pearson, the boat operator returned to help the girls and get them out of the water. However, a wave hit the boat and pushed it on top of Julia.

The incident caused her to hit the propeller. The boat driver and another operator jumped into the water in an attempt to rescue Julia. However, she was pronounced dead at a hospital.

Per Pearson, no foul play was involved in the accident. Alcohol was also not a factor in her death.

During the vigil at Glen Allen High School, Julia's mother offered a saddening message after losing her daughter.

"It was a very happy, fun last day on Earth for her. She was happy, laughing, having a good time and that's the way I'm going to remember her," Monica Budzinski said, per The Washington Post.
