It's no secret that Meghan Markle is attempting to emulate Princess Diana.

In fact, the Duchess of Sussex has been accused of being "part of a Hollywood self-serving elite," with one royal observer claiming that she is failing to provide "selfless service."

Foreign policy analyst James Jay Carano stated on Twitter, "The essence of British aristocracy is selfless devotion. Meghan is a member of Hollywood's self-serving elite. What did people anticipate?"

His post was in reaction to another royal pundit, Nile Gardiner, who stated that Prince Harry's wife is "no Princess Diana."

This happened following the publication of a new book, "Revenge: Meghan, Harry, and the War Between the Windsors," in which author Tom Bower said that Meghan Markle desired a Hollywood version of her husband's late mother.

According to Express, the former "Suits" actress' love with the late Princess of Wales began after she and Prince Harry visited Australia as part of their royal tour in 2018, where they were met with a tremendous greeting.

Meghan has been likened to her late mother-in-law in the past, particularly in the aftermath of his and Prince Harry's 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The Duchess of Sussex was accused by Portuguese historian Lourenco Pereira Coutinho of "playing the role of 21st-century princess Diana on camera."

"Meghan Markle gave an interview to Oprah Winfrey, the queen of North American talk shows, who served, first and foremost, to moan about her husband's family," he stated about the Oprah interview special.

"The scene had all the components to sway public opinion: the interviewee is a commoner African American lady who presented herself as the victim of an unsympathetic and dysfunctional family, personifying an archaic institution."

In reference to Meghan, the pundit stated that, like Princess Diana, Meghan Markle was bullied by the Windsors and the British media.

"There is no better method to elicit empathy from viewers than to draw suffering parallels with a worldwide symbol."

Meanwhile, Judi James, a body language expert, hailed the former B-list actress as a near-perfect duplicate of Princess Diana.

She mentioned the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's 2021 Christmas card and how the latter's body language with her child in the card is nearly identical to a stance used by his late mother-in-law with her children in the past.

"With this position, both women establish themselves as loving, doting moms, and both enable their infants to be seen in a fun attitude, laughing and smiling down at them."
