At the United Nations headquarters in New York, Prince Harry recently delivered a speech on the status of the world.

As he observed Nelson Mandela International Day, the Duke of Sussex presented a sad speech on the status of the globe, referencing all that happened in Ukraine, climate change, and COVID.

During the two-hour-long discussion in the General Assembly plenary, the father-of-two questioned, "How many of us feel battered, powerless, in the face of a seemingly constant series of calamities and devastation?" This has been a difficult year in a difficult decade."

When the Duchess of Sussex arrived at the venue, she was seen laying a comforting hand on her husband's back to encourage him forward while smiling at the visitors.

A body language expert, on the other hand, remarked that Prince Harry appeared agitated and that his strong speech delivery clashed with some of his major emotions.

According to Judi James who spoke to Mirror, "his speech style at the UN was more presidential than royal. His keynote was delivered in a solemn, slow, and authoritative tone that positioned him as the authority."

"Even when it came to Mandela himself, he didn't back down from taking a 'tell' attitude."

The expert went on to explain that Prince William's younger brother's body language indicated significant levels of stress and worry, "beneath the confident and hard-hitting speech."

Judi James also compared Prince Harry to his father, Prince Charles, who employed "barrier rituals" to self-soothe before speaking in public.

She claimed that the 36-year-old had a lengthy self-comfort routine that included "a shortened motion of seeming to fasten his jacket, and he was still executing that abbreviated ritual after he got on stage and walked to the lectern."

Judi emphasized that the gesture is about their sense of comfort more than the deed itself.

While his son tries to button his jacket, fumble with his tie, and even pat his stomach, the Duke of Cornwall pats his pockets and fiddles with his cuffs.

She also mentioned that Prince Harry appeared to be rushing through his speech, as there was little comedy in it and the only smile he flashed was for his wife.

"This was a dry lecture from the guy formerly known as the 'joker prince.'"
