Chris Rock Finally Meeting Will Smith After Public Apology? But On One Condition!
Chris Rock is apparently prepared to confront Will Smith following the notorious Oscars slap that was seen and heard around the globe.
According to Radar Online, Chris agreed to meet with him on one condition.
"Chris is a nice man. Like everyone else who witnessed Will's apology,he had mixed feelings," a source told the publication after the footage of the "Men in Black" star addressing the event at the 2022 Academy Awards was posted last week.
"A part of him felt terrible for Will, and another part was outraged that Will was portraying himself as the victim."
Will Smith eventually broke his silence and apologized to Chris Rock in a now-viral video, promising him he'd be "here" when he's "ready to talk" things through.
He reached out to Chris, but the word he received was that the "Grown Ups" actor wasn't ready to confront him just yet.
"When he's ready, he'll reach out." So, Chris, please accept my sincere apologies. My actions were inappropriate."
But, according to the source, Chris would only meet with the "I Am Legend" star if he swears never to discuss anything they discuss.

The Reaction of Will Smith's Family to His Public Apology
Will Smith's wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and their daughter Willow Smith are said to be proud of him after apologizing publically to Chris Rock.
According to a source who spoke to Hollywood Life, Jada, the reason Will slapped Chris at the event four months ago, believes that "his speaking up about it by talking was a better approach to express the truth in his heart" in addition to the written apologies.
The insider said the "King Richard" star regrets what he did to Chris and wishes he could take it all back but realizes he can't.
"All he can do from here is try to cure the wounds."
Will is also aware that his acts have repercussions, which he and his wife have extensively explored.
"It's not the example he wants to set for his children, and she knows he's capable of doing better."
The tipster added why "he chose to wait, and it was not an easy decision."
Another source claimed that Will waited until now to apologize because he wanted his apologies to be taken seriously.
"He didn't want his apology to come off as insincere or dishonest. He needed some time to reflect and wanted to reply correctly."
