Kathy Hilton Under Fire For Mistakingly Calling Lizzo THIS
Kathy Hilton is facing backlash after mistaking musician Lizzo for someone else.
During an episode of "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," the error happened.
In a segment titled "Will and Kathy! Know! Them?"exclaimed the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" actress after being shown a photo of the "Juice." "hitmaker and inquired as to who it was.
The episode deteriorated when Paris Hilton's mother stated, "I feel like I do," before guessing, "Precious?"
In 2009, actress Gabourey Sidibe portrayed the character Precious.
When she was told she wasn't accurate, the host and the other celebs on the late-night program burst out laughing.
Kathy Hilton attempted to justify her remark by claiming, "That's what I refer to as [Lizzo]... To me, her nickname is 'Precious.'"
The harm, however, has already been done.
Within minutes after the occurrence, admirers of the singer-songwriter flocked to social media to criticize the renowned mother's reaction.
"I'm sorry merely for her response and the audience reaction, and then to follow up with that comment. Please read this elderly white privileged woman who is out of touch. This isn't amusing, and AC Nah."
Another individual stated, "This isn't funny or cute...
I need her to perform better."
"Sometimes quiet is best," a third individual offered.

Kathy Hilton's gaffe on the show with Lizzo and Gabourey Sidibe occurred after she was accused of fabricating a quarrel with co-star Lisa Rinna.
Though insiders revealed to Radarthat the former heiress had no involvement in the mess, it was reportedly Patrick Somers who announced he was paid $27,000 by one of the cast members to start the feud and divert attention away from another story about the unidentified housewife in the news at the time.
Somers said that the publication of his phone number was intentional and that Rinna's response was foreseen.
"When you know who you're dealing with, you can predict their move," he told Radar.
He further claimed that the phone number Rinna disclosed was not registered to him, but he had access to it.
Somers did receive death threats, but he allegedly understood it was all part of the business, and he's not bothered or upset by the negative fan feedback.
He also wants the public to know that the threat on Rinna was staged.
When questioned if Kathy Hilton was involved in the drama, he stated his part was just to let people imagine whatever story they chose.
