Did Anne Heche already predict her death years ago?

Heche has been declared legally dead one week after the car crash as her doctors said she is already brain dead. Although her heart is still beating, the actress is only being supported by medical equipment until the process of organ donation completes.

While her family prepares for the worst, her hair-raising 2017 interview recorded how she wanted to be remembered once she died.

Page Six quoted the interview with Access Hollywood during Heche's "The Last Word" movie premiere. At that time, she said that she wanted to leave a positive impact on her children.

"Since the movie is called 'The Last Word' and given what it's about, what do you hope people would say about you as far as last words go?" a producer asked, to which she replied, "Hopefully that I made my children happy ... gave them a life that they love."

Heche was a mother to 20-year-old son Homer Laffoon and 13-year-old son Atlas Heche Tupper.

Anne Heche Brain Dead But Heart Is Still Beating

The interview resurfaced after her family's representative confirmed her death.

"Anne will be deeply missed but she lives on through her beautiful sons, her iconic body of work, and her passionate advocacy. Her bravery for always standing in her truth, spreading her message of love and acceptance, will continue to have a lasting impact," it said, per CNN.

The 53-year-old actress's heart is still breathing. However, California law states that she is already legally dead since her doctors announced her brain's death.

As of press time, she is still on life support until the OneLegacy Foundation finds she is a match for organ donation.

Vanity Fair disclosed that Heche's loved ones already expected she would not survive due to "a severe anoxic brain injury" and falling into a coma. According to Headway The Brain Injury Association, severe anoxia can result in coma. The brain's nerve cells become sensitive to a lack of oxygen due to high demand for energy.

Before announcing her current status, the Los Angeles Police Department obtained a warrant to get a sample of her blood for substance test. Law enforcement sources, per New York Post, told a news outlet that she was under the influence of cocaine when she drove her vehicle and caused a high-speed crash in California.

They assumed that the cocaine she took might have contained fentanyl which made the situation worse.
