Is Pete Davidson missing his previous life?

The comic left "Saturday Night Live" just months after he began dating Kim Kardashian.

However, Pete is now derided by his pals for leaving the program that made him famous in order to pursue his then-girlfriend. Unfortunately, their romance was short-lived, as it ended after nine months.

According to a source who talked to the National Enquirer (via IBTimes), the 28-year-old Staten Island native is pleading with the hit NBC show bosses to give him back his previous TV job now that they have split up.

They reported that his staff members have publicly questioned whether "he killed the goose that lay the golden eggs by leaving the program."

They went on to claim that now that Pete had gotten a taste of life away from the famed Saturday night program and was directing movies, he was experiencing buyer's remorse.

"In Pete's dream world, he could be on SNL, working his stand-up comedy, and shooting films," the insider said.

Another source stated that Pete longs to reclaim his previous life because everything was turned upside down for the comic with the former "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star, including his reason for leaving the program.

However, there is little evidence that Pete Davidson want to return to his "former" life or what that old life entails. There's also no proof that he's pleading his way back onto "Saturday Night Live," so the news should be taken with a grain of salt.

What Caused Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's Split?

It's unknown what went wrong with Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's relationship, but fans were surprised to learn that their romance had ended.

According to several accounts, the former couple struggled to sustain a relationship since they both have extremely demanding schedules.

Kim and Pete's romance ended after several months of controversy since they began dating in October 2021, including a public disagreement with her ex-husband Kanye West.

The "Donda" rapper had aggressively mocked Pete and even celebrated their breakup, uploading a falsified newspaper item proclaiming the death of the "King of Staten Island" actor.

"Pete has got to be the finest human being I've ever met," Kim stated of their connection before their divorce. 'He's so amusing,' people usually say. That's about the fourth reason I like him."
