'Don't Worry Darling' Feud Officially Debunked: Crew Have This to Say About On-Set Gossip

Following the premiere of "Don't Worry Darling", crew members finally make a statement addressing the endless gossip surrounding the film. 

"Don't Worry Darling" is a psychological thriller film starring Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, and more. The film recently premiered nationwide on September 23 by Warner Bros. Pictures but was first premiered during the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 5. The film, directed by actress Olivia Wilde, marks her second directorial project following "Booksmart".

Notably, its cast members have been the subject of controversial headlines, including Shia Labeouf's firing incident, Harry Styles 'spitting' on Chris Pine during a film festival, and an alleged screaming match between director Olivia Wilde and lead star Florence Pugh.

Amidst never-ending gossip following the premiere, 40 crew members have recently signed a statement to defend their film. In a recent statement to People, crew members express their gratitude and support for director Olivia Wilde, addressing the latest gossip painting her as an absent director.

"The studio is very grateful and appreciative of the tireless support by Olivia in bringing her vision to life from production through release. Any suggestion of conflict between the studio and Olivia is simply not true." According to the crew statement to People.

'Screaming Match' Debunked

Additionally, the statement detailed some of the concerning rumors surrounding the director. In reference to the most recent "Olivia and Florence screaming match" gossip, the statement clarifies that the "unprofessional behavior" was false.

"As a crew, we've avoided addressing the absurd gossip surrounding the movie we're so proud of, but feel the need to correct the anonymous 'sources' quoted in a recent article," The statement wrote. "Any allegations about unprofessional behavior on the set of Don't Worry Darling are completely false."

Crew Praises Olivia Wilde

Notably, despite the nasty rumors following the 38-year-old director, crew members praise Wilde amidst recent headlines painting her as an absent director. The statement calls her an "an incredible leader and director" during the course of "Don't Worry Darling".

Despite the nasty gossip, the film has garnered praise among fans on social media after the premiere. Going head to head with the premiere of the "Avatar" sequel, "Don't Worry Darling" tops the domestic box office with a whopping $19.2 million, and the worldwide release grossing $30 million.
