Billy Eichner Disappointed Over 'Straight People' Not Watching His Movie

In early reports, the comedian shared his sentiments after straight people "didn't show up" to cinemas even though his movie got great reviews from popular websites.

He began his series of tweets by saying he snuck in and sat in the back of a movie house playing his film in Los Angeles and he witnessed how people laughed from "start to finish."

Eichner then noted that Rolling Stone included "Bros" in the list of "best comedies of the 21st century" but there was still a cinema that called Universal Pictures to let them know that the trailer will be removed due to its "gay content."

"Everyone who ISN'T a homophobic weirdo should go see BROS tonight! You will have a blast! And it *is* special and uniquely powerful to see this particular story on a big screen, esp for queer folks who don't get this opportunity often," he added.

Following this, many fans reacted to his post negatively, saying the movie was "trash" and full of "gay stereotypes."
