Prince William has been accused of briefing the press about his younger brother, Prince Harry.

Royal correspondent and biographer Omid Scobie sat down for an interview with ABC News' Maggie Rulli ahead of the release of his new book, "Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival." According to him, the Prince of Wales was the one to blame for his falling out with the Duke of Sussex because he allegedly did a press briefing that caused "irreparable damage" to his relationship with his younger brother.

"He's sharing private information about his brother that ended up on the front page of a newspaper not long later," Scobie said in an interview aired on "Good Morning America." "And these are things that have caused irreparable damage in the relations between each other."

The author of "Finding Freedom" went on to say that the heir to the throne became a "company man" and someone who was "much harder." Prince William "seems to have embraced and embodied the royal institution," Scobie added of the royal father of three.

Scobie's words received mixed responses from the royal fans and critics. Some believed what Scobie said and agreed with him.

"Such a shame that William is using that same tactics against his brother that his father used to bully and smear Princess Diana. Like father, like son," one commented. Another added, "Exactly, I can't stand the royal family, but I like Prince Harry though."

"Cowardly William has his affairs and hides behind his brother via briefs and lies...William wants to be a global statesman, yet he can't even own up to his own piss-poor behavior. He is absolutely vile and disgusting #princewilliamaffair," a third user wrote.

However, many also defended the Prince of Wales, especially because they considered Scobie the Sussexes' mouthpiece. Some even blamed Markle for what Scobie wrote in the book.

"The author of this new book is besties with Meghan Markle. What an awful human being she is. Destroyed her own family and now is trying to do the same to her husband's," one commented. A second royal supporter opined, "He had no need to. H is on TV Taking [sic] about himself."

"Prince William is booked and busy with the Tusk conservation awards this evening because he is their patron. Man baby Harry had yet another epic meltdown when William was chosen over him to be patron. William is THRIVING, and Harry's barely surviving," a third royal supporter wrote with a face with tears of joy emoji.

Prince Harry and Markle received intense backlash after several excerpts from Scobie's new book attacking the members of the royal family were released. Many blamed them, alleging that the Sussexes were involved in "Endgame," which the author had previously denied.

"Endgame" hits the shelves on Tuesday.
