There are talks about Prince Harry wanting to return to the United Kingdom, with an unnamed insider claiming that he has been feeling "lonely" in California and yearning for his home and family.

The Duke of Sussex has been fighting the Home Office for his security in London. An unnamed source spoke with OK! magazine, saying he is doing this because he wants to be back home, but his wife doesn't feel the same way.

"Meghan doesn't want to come back to the U.K. at all," the source said. "She's got her heart set on staying in California. She wants to build her life there, bring up the family there and focus on her career."

The insider added, "I think Harry is the complete opposite -- I think he has his heart set on bringing his family back to the U.K. I'm sure it's a very difficult situation for them as a family to be in."

The insider also claimed Harry really wants to spend the holidays in the U.K. A report from The Times previously claimed that they wanted to spend the holidays there but had not received an invite yet.

"Harry wants nothing more than to be able to spend time in the U.K. this Christmas," the source added. "He's got invites from friends to join them, and it's where he feels at home. He doesn't feel the Americans can do Christmas like the Brits, and he certainly doesn't think that anyone can celebrate Christmas like the Windsors."

Prince Harry's biographer Angela Levin also previously claimed on GB News that he wanted to return home, saying it was why he was fighting for his security. He wanted 24/7 protection for his wife and kids -- Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1. But Levin said he was doing this only because "everything else he's done has failed."

"He wants to come back. He wants to be a member of the Royal Family again, but my goodness, he is a very changed Harry, and he's going to do what he wants," Levin claimed. "The fact that he has no respect for his father, no respect for his birth, I think he is going to be a big danger because he will go into competition with the Royal Family themselves."

British journalist, broadcaster and author Nichi Hodgson opined the Brits could still welcome King Charles' youngest son, but only if he were divorcing Markle because "people really have a distaste for her."
