Another member of the British royal family is taking a break from his official duties, sparking health concerns.

Fewer members of the firm will be on duty in the coming weeks because Prince Edward will be taking a break. Meanwhile, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and Duchess Sophie will continue working. According to the Telegraph, the Duke of Edinburgh will take a "short break" after his trips to South Africa and St. Helena this month.

King Charles and Kate Middleton both had recent surgeries and are still recovering. Prince William also took a leave to take care of his kids -- Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louise, 5 -- and wife.

The news about Prince Edward's short break sparked concerns on social media. Many expressed worries and hoped the youngest child of the late Queen Elizabeth was well.

"Hope the Duke of Edinburgh is ok!" one tweeted on X, formerly Twitter, while sharing the news from The Telegraph. Another added, "Hopefully, he just needs a bit of rest."

"Hope he's okay. He and Sophie have been working so hard for a long while now, lots of overseas trips as well as UK engagements," a third person added.

"God, not another one! Saw this earlier. Probably just needs to rest and relax," a fourth person opined.

"There was a period of time from P[rince] Philip's death to a few months after QE2'S passing that he looked very unwell. He lost a huge amount of weight and wasn't seen much. He seemed to be doing better so this concerns me," another royal family supporter said.

Some fans urged others not to make a big fuss about the royal's hiatus. Others also said it was probably a scheduled break because he had been busy in the past months.

"He has noticeably aged and lost weight since the late Queen's passing. That being said, this seems to be a scheduled break as he has not canceled any public engagements," one wrote.

"Puh-Lease! [face with rolling eyes emoji]. The Duke of Edinburgh just completed around 25 engagements during his Royal Visit to South Africa/St. Helena/Ascension Island (for 5 days, incl. Arrival & Departure Day), of course, he would need a short break (i.e., max one week with no engagements)," another user added.

The Palace was hit by a double royal health scare last month. The King and Princess of Wales were home last week after a medical procedure. King Charles got a scheduled treatment for his enlarged prostate, while Middleton had a "planned abdominal surgery."
