Barron Trump is smart, according to a former professional boxer.

Mike Tyson's interview with Patrick Bet-David on the "PBD" podcast last year has resurfaced because he spoke about Barron Trump, who just turned 18 years old on Wednesday.

During the chat, Tyson was asked about his close ties with Donald Trump, and the boxer said he had dinner with the Trumps a week before the interview at Mar-a-Lago, and he spoke fondly of Trump and Melania Trump's son.

"Barron, he's so smart, the young kid," Tyson said of the youngest Trump.

The interviewer asked if Barron was already 7 feet tall, and Tyson clarified his height was 6 feet and 8 inches.

"Man, this kid, this guy is on top of his game intellectually," he added.

When the host commented, "At 16," Tyson corrected him by saying, "17."

When asked about Melania, Tyson confirmed that the former first lady was also there. When pressed on their interaction, he said she was "awesome."

Tyson also spoke about the former president. He acknowledged that Trump was not everyone's cup of tea.

"People don't like [Trump], but Trump is the man. Trump is the man. He has his fan base, he has his supporters, and they got to stick with him to the end," Tyson said.

Speaking of his relationship with the Trump patriarch, Tyson stressed that he only had good times with the businessman-turned-politician.

"I've never had a bad moment with him," he said. "[I] Became very profited from him. It was just a great relationship."

Barron is rarely seen in public, and he is reportedly his mom Melania's priority. That's why she's also not visible on Trump's campaign trail.

Eden Gillott, a crisis management expert at Gillott Communications, weighed in on the young Trump's future. She believes that Barron is more likely to follow in his mother's footsteps and live his life privately.

"Barron will most likely opt for Melania's elegance of privacy rather than his father's love of the spotlight," Gillott said. "This selective visibility could define his persona, underscoring the sophistication of leading a life of quiet dignity amidst a world that often confuses noise with influence."

Earlier this year, the Trumps were spotted together at the funeral of Melania's mom. Barron was photographed reaching out to his father during the ceremony.

According to Judi James, a leading communication and body language expert who has appeared on BBC News, Sky News, GB News and CNN, Barron was trying to comfort his dad.
