Teen Choice Awards Comedy Film: 'Pitch Perfect,' Actress Rebel Wilson, Actor Skylar Astin VIDEO
Pitch Perfect dominated the Teen Choice Awards when it came to comedy.
Released last October, Pitch Perfect was a surprise hit from director Jason Moore. Following the journey of Beca (Anna Kendrick), the film focuses on the trials and tribulations of the Barden University all-girls singin group, The Bellas.
Australian Actress Rebel Wilson captured the award for Best Comedy Actress for her portrayal of Fat Amy. The 27-year-old has received various accolades for the role, including Best Breakthrough Performance at the MTV Movie Awards. The talented comedy actress has also appeared in such films as 2011's Bridesmaids as well as the recent Pain & Gain.
Skylar Astin also walked off with hie very own surfboard for Best Comedy Actor when it came to his role as Jesse in the 2012 film. At 25-years-old, Astin's other film credits include 21 & Over and Wreck-It Ralph as well as a role in the popular Lena Dunham series Girls.
Other awards garnered by Pitch Perfect and their cast include the Best Music in a Musical Feature Film from the Motion Picture Sound Editors as well as Best Musical Moment from the MTV Movie Awards.
