Legal documents obtained by TMZ revealed Helen Yu has initiated legal action against Pine, alleging that his trees have caused damage to her property, leading to its destruction.

In summary, Yu accuses the actor, 43, of planting over a dozen ficus trees along the boundary of his property. However, she contends that the trees' invasive roots have extended beyond his land, causing significant damage to her yard.

According to legal documents, she initiated legal action against the 'Star Trek' star in 2022, a lawsuit that received little public attention. However, they reportedly entered mediation in an attempt to resolve the matter discreetly.

Despite efforts to reach a resolution privately, Yu claims that progress has been hindered by Pine's latest accusation. He allegedly asserted that her fence was intruding onto his side of the property line.

Since then, they have been engaged in a continuous exchange of allegations and counterclaims.

Yu reportedly stated she reached her limit with no solution in sight to the primary issue: troublesome ficus trees. She claims these trees have not only disrupted the concrete hardscape around her residence but have also penetrated the foundation of her house.

Yu initially aimed to settle the dispute with Pine by requesting approximately $267,000. She also expressed willingness to allocate $75,000 for addressing his grievances, which her insurance company was prepared to manage. However, after the Los Angeles native purportedly rejected this proposal, Yu is now pursuing a significantly higher sum.

Yu is now seeking over $346,000 to cover the total expenses required for repairing the damages she alleges she suffered. Additionally, she is requesting an additional $225,000 for emotional distress. In total, she is seeking approximately $571,000 from Pine.
