Kelly Rowland Sets ‘Karen’ Security Guard Straight On The Red Carpet At Cannes Film Festival, Here's Why

Kelly Rowland made headlines after a heated exchange with a security guard during the premiere of 'Marcello Mio' at the Cannes Film Festival. 

In a video that has since gone viral, the 43-year-old appeared visibly angry, gesturing sternly at the woman who was seemingly trying to escort her up the stairs into the venue. 

Rowland reprimand the female security guard before shifting her attention to another guest on the staircase.

Although Rowland hasn't directly commented on the incident, reports suggest that her frustration stemmed from the festival staff's "aggressive" behavior. 

Per the 'Daily Mail,' the Destiny's Child singer attempted to "ignore" the red carpet staff who were assisting celebrities assertively. Rowland got into a heated exchange with the security guard after being instructed to move while she was interacting with fans and posing for pictures, according to the outlet. 

The online community has been abuzz with discussions about the intense confrontation, attempting to unravel the cause behind the scolding.

One hypothesis suggests that the security guard accidentally stepped on Rowland's stunning strapless red gown while she ascended the steps and subsequently acted "rude" toward the singer. 

According to self-proclaimed lip readers, Rowland told the guard, "Don't talk to me like that. Don't talk to me like that." 

"You're not my mother, I told you not to talk to me like that," a lipreader suspects the mother of two said.

At the top of the stairs, Rowland turned back around and reportedly told the woman again, "You still don't talk to me like that."
