Taye Diggs Opens Up About His Exhaustion With Dating After Apryl Jones Break Up: ‘Don’t Have The Energy’
Taye Diggs is speaking candidly about his romantic life after parting ways with Apryl Jones.
During an interview with 'Us Weekly,' the 'All-American' actor revealed how life has been post break-up.
"I have no idea what I'm doing. I really don't," Diggs, 53, said. "So now I'm just chilling out."
The New Jersey native expressed feeling overwhelmed by the abundance of options available, ranging from social media to dating apps.
"I'll see somebody, and I'll be like, 'Oh, I wonder if I should.' " he said. "I don't have the energy. So I'm hoping that somebody will just magically [appear]. And if not, that's cool too."
Diggs dated Apryl Jones, an entrepreneur and star of 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood,' since 2022. The pair, who often posted each other and their funny skits on their social media platforms, broke-up quietly.
Jones, 37, recently took to Instagram to address the breakup in a video.
"There are certain gems in the world that know what they want, know who they want to be with, know themselves, and a lot of times that could be intimidating ... a lot of times it could be all of the things," she said. "It's not always...y'all be so... my journey and my life..."
Her friend George subsequently joined the conversation, clarifying how "ain't nobody left her. She left the situation."

The mom of 2 and her friend shared a laugh afterward.
Jones was in a relationship with B2K singer Omarion from 2012-2016. Their relationship played out on VH1's reality show 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood.'
"The beautiful and talented mother of my children for whom I hold the highest regard and respect, Apryl Jones, and I have mutually decided to end our relationship," wrote the 31-year-old singer on Instagram. "We continue to love and support one another and still share a common goal to remain friends while being great parents to our children."
Jones also addressed their separation on Twitter writing,"Single... the end..."
Omarion and Jones co-parent two children: A'mei and Megaa.
Taye Diggs was previously married to Idina Menzel. They first met in 1995 during the Broadway's 'Rent,' in which they co-starred.
In 2003, they tied the knot. The couple welcomed a son Walker in September 2009 before divorcing in 2013.
