It appears soulful songstress Erykah Badu is becoming suspicious of Beyonce's style, as fans speculated that she non-verbally suggested that it looks familiar — because it's hers.

During last year's Renaissance Tour, Badu posted a picture next to an image of Bey, both wearing oversized wide-brim hats and wrote: "I guess I'm everybody stylist."

Per Page Six, that came just one day after Badu ran to Beyonce's photo flaunting a near-identical hat and left some shade in the comment section, writing, "I'm flattered."

However, despite what it looks like, the eccentric vocalist claims her suggestive caption was misunderstood.

"I said 'Hmmm' in a post and people assumed that means a certain thing because they think that. I didn't say that," she stated regarding accusations of Beyoncé, 42, of copying her look. The 'Baduizm' star told The Standard that she never explained the post at all.

"I didn't say I thought that. Only thing I said was, 'Jay Z, get these people off me.' I didn't explain my post or anything, I didn't have an opportunity to," the 53-year-old said. "I was guilty before it started."

She did eventually address it specifically, claiming she doesn't care to address people's assumtptions, and overall she's proud of Queen Bey and admits the performer works "super hard."

"I don't care. It doesn't matter, I'm so proud of her. I'm a Texas woman, she's a Texas woman. It's beautiful. [Beyoncé] works super hard. [The] Knowles family is friends of mine, I love them very much," Badu expressed. "Most of the things we see are just kind of made up. The press runs with it and now it becomes the narrative. I never correct it, I don't have to, it's none of my business."

The Grammy Award winning artist admitted that she's got product to sell, and that's primarily why she uses social media, anyway.

"It does help me sell things though," the neo-soul singer explained. "It goes straight to my store and starts selling product when I'm trending. That's what I use social media for, to sell my things."
