Katherine Heigl has adopted her second child with husband Josh Kelley. Their spokesperson confirmed the joyous news by saying, "Yes they have adopted a baby."

According to the National Enquirer, the couple secretly adopted a baby girl from Louisiana earlier this month. The baby was only eight days old when her proud parents collected her. "The whole adoption process for Katherine and Josh's second child was like a covert operation," a source told the National Enquirer. "As soon as they got the word the baby was born, Katherine and Josh flew from California to Louisiana to pick up their new daughter."

Kelley is said to have been so excited about the baby and told friends: "I'm a dad again! Can you believe it? I'm so happy! I know there will be a lot of sleepless nights coming up for me and Katherine, but I don't care. I'm tickled pink!"

The child, whose name has not been revealed yet, is the second daughter of Heigl and Kelley. Their first daughter, Naleigh, from South Korea, was adopted in 2009 when she was 10 months old. Heigl admitted that they struggled to bond at first which broke her heart. But after a few years they have now formed a tight bond, according to the actress.

Heigl said in a magazine interview that she had always wanted to adopt from Korea. "My sister Meg is Korean and my parents adopted her three years before I was born," she said. "I wanted my own family to resemble the one I came from, so I always knew I wanted to adopt from Korea. We have talked about having biological children as well, but we decided to adopt first."
