Caitlyn Jenner Calls Media 'the Problem' After Charlie Kirk Assassination

Caitlyn Jenner blasted the press while speaking briefly to paparazzi in Malibu, days after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed at Utah Valley University.
The former Olympian was spotted pumping gas over the weekend when a photographer asked her thoughts on the assassination. Jenner refused to answer questions, pointing at the camera before saying she no longer talks to reporters.
"I don't speak to the media anymore. They're the problem. You guys," she said before leaving in a white compact car.
Limited Social Media Activity
Jenner has stayed off social media since early summer, with her last Instagram post in June and last X post on July 1.
The athlete's statement reflected a long line of criticisms, especially from conservatives, who argued that the mainstream media provides biased and false information.
Kirk, 31, was severely injured when he was fired at while giving a speech at a Turning Point USA event on September 10. He was rushed to a hospital but died shortly afterward.
Donald Trump announced Kirk's death in a Truth Social post, writing that "Charlie, we love you!" and calling him "the Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk."
Kirk's widow, Erika, vowed during a press conference that the youth movement her husband built "will not die," adding that his mission would become "stronger" and "bolder" despite his death.
Erika Kirk: “The evil doers, responsible for my husband's assassination, have no idea what they have done... you have no idea what you have just unleashed across this entire country, and this world”

Utah Governor Says Suspect Refusing to Cooperate
Authorities identified Tyler Robinson, 22, as the suspected shooter. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox told ABC News on Sunday that Robinson is "not cooperating" with investigators but said people close to him have been assisting police.
Robinson was arrested after a 33-hour manhunt and is being held without bail at Utah County Jail. He faces charges including aggravated murder and obstruction of justice.
Cox said officials are still working to determine a motive and that Robinson's partner has been cooperative. The governor also repeated calls to reduce online toxicity, saying Americans need to "look in the mirror and decide" whether to lower tensions.
A public memorial for Kirk is scheduled for September 21 at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, where he lived with his wife and two children.
