Reality television personality Lindsie Chrisley was arrested over the weekend in Georgia on suspicion of driving under the influence before being released several hours later after posting bond.

According to jail records and reports from the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, the former Chrisley Knows Best star was taken into custody late Saturday night. Authorities said the 36-year-old was facing several charges, including DUI, speeding, reckless driving, improper passing and attempting to elude police.

Officials confirmed that Chrisley was booked into county jail around 10:25 p.m. and released early Sunday morning after posting a bond totaling nearly $6,000.

Shortly after her release, Chrisley addressed the incident in a statement to TMZ, saying she plans to challenge the charges in court. She explained that the situation began when she tried to avoid a possible crash involving another vehicle and an animal on the road.

"I got pulled over speeding past a car on a two lane road because they almost hit an animal and I was trying to miss hitting them and whatever the animal was," she said.

Chrisley also stated that she was booked and immediately released following the arrest, Daily Mail reported.

Lindsie Chrisley's Year of Arrest and Family Rift

The incident comes during a difficult stretch in the reality star's personal life. Just weeks earlier, her former boyfriend, David Landsman, was arrested following an alleged dispute involving Chrisley.

Reports claimed both accused each other of violence during the argument. According to court filings previously reported by entertainment outlets, Chrisley alleged that Landsman strangled her several times during the confrontation. Landsman was later booked on aggravated assault and battery-related charges.

The former couple has since agreed to a mutual no-contact order requiring them to stay away from each other, their homes and workplaces.

According to Just Jared, Chrisley has also remained publicly estranged from her father, Todd Chrisley, and stepmother, Julie Chrisley, for several years. The family relationship reportedly became strained after Todd accused Lindsie of cooperating with federal investigators during his tax evasion case. She has repeatedly denied those claims.

Todd and Julie Chrisley were convicted in 2022 on federal fraud and tax evasion charges connected to millions of dollars in bank fraud. The couple later received pardons after serving part of their prison sentences.
