Influencer Alix Earle opened up about an emotional night out in Miami after unexpectedly running into her ex-boyfriend, NFL player Braxton Berrios, revealing she struggled more than she expected despite insisting things between them are still friendly.

The 25-year-old shared the moment in a TikTok posted May 25, explaining that she saw Berrios during a night out at the Palm Tree Club in Miami on May 24, more than five months after their breakup. While she said the initial interaction felt normal, the emotional impact slowly built throughout the night.

"I saw my ex tonight, but we're on good terms, so it was like, normal and fine," Earle said. She added that they joked around briefly while hanging out with mutual friends, making the first moments feel light and easy, ENews reported.

However, as the night continued, Earle admitted she could not stop herself from scanning the crowd for him.

"It kept turning into me looking around the place the whole night, being like, 'Hmm, where is he?'" she said. "I think that really sucked, like just catching myself doing that."

Earle explained that the emotional shift surprised her, especially because she had tried to stay relaxed and enjoy the night with friends. She said that what started as a comfortable interaction turned into a wave of feelings she did not expect.

"It's hard when you see someone for a second and it's fun and normal," she reflected. "But that's just a dose of it. That's done. That started to hit me."

Later in the night, friends noticed she was becoming emotional. Earle admitted she ended up crying while trying to stay composed.

"And crying, I was," she said. "But sometimes, you just can't help it." According to Yahoo, she eventually decided to leave early, calling a car home and heading back to her dog.

"So, I did the responsible thing and called myself a car home and cried to my dog," she said, adding that she was "fine" afterward.

Earle and Berrios split in December after nearly two years together, and she has previously spoken openly about how difficult the breakup has been. She once described earlier run-ins with him as emotionally overwhelming, saying it felt strange to go from being close partners to near strangers in the same room.

At the time of their breakup, Earle said the split was connected to their different lifestyles and long-distance challenges. She emphasized that they remained on good terms and continued to care for each other even after going their separate ways.
