A new report claims that Sports Illustrated swimwear model Kate Upton has paid $25,000 for a ticket to New York's Costume Institute Gala Benefit, known as the "Met Ball", which will be held next Monday. The model reportedly begged Vogue editor Anna Wintour , who is one of the organizers of the upcoming event.

The fundraising event will be at The Metropolitan Museum Of Art. A source told New York Post : "She told Anna she would really like to attend. Then she offered to pay for her own ticket. Kate then whipped out her cheque book and paid the $25,000 for her seat." The source confirmed that: "Anna took the cheque on the spot."

The move shows that Kate Upton really wants to be accepted in the fashion industry. The upcoming Gala is recognized as one of the most distinguished fashion events this year.

Upton has been receiving much attention lately after a video of her dancing to the tune of "Cat Daddy" in a very small bikini has gone viral. There's no doubt she will be the talk of the event.

The Met Ball is one those events that Wintour approves ever name on the invitation list. The $25,000 a head dinner finances the Costume Institute's annual expenses. Over 700 celebrities, athletes, models and editors will be at the prestigious event.
