With Sons of Anarchy's Charlie Hunnam backing out of the Christian Grey role, White Collar standout, Matt Bomer, is reportedly the frontrunner to most likely replace him.

The Mirror stated that 87,000 Fifty Shades of Grey loyalists composed a petition in favor of the 35-year-old for Grey.

To top it off, the U.K's Ladbrokes posted that "bookies agree, with Bomer," who is no stranger to stripping, as he did so in Magic Mike and is "currently at odds of 6/1 to replace Hunnam in the lead role."

"As Hunnam's tied up with TV work fans have been whipped into a betting frenzy, and the odds suggest they'll get their man second time round with Matt Bomer as Mr. Grey," said the website.

Ladbrokes also has Peaker Blinders' Cilian Murphy right behind Bomer at 7/1 odds, while The Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder in third at 8/1.

Before Hunnam's made the decision to drop outr due to scheduling conflicts, Bomer had told ETonline that he was thankful for all the fans support.

"I'm so grateful for the fans and touched. I'm looking forward to seeing the movie with Charlie and Dakota," he said.

The Fifty Shades of Grey film is slated to hit the big screen on Aug. 1, 2014. Only time will truly tell who lands the part of the S&M-crazed CEO.
