Bethenny Frankel tried becoming an actress before becoming known as a reality star and now talk show host, she said in a recent interview.

"Years ago, I moved out to L.A. to be an actress," she told Zap2it. "I don't know if I wasn't talented or connected or confident."

She had a few minor roles but said, "I liked the idea of it, but I didn't like being someone else, the confines of the script."

Frankel now hosts her syndicated weekday talk show, Bethenny, and before that she starred on Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City. While on the reality series Frankel was one of the few not married and said she was different from her cast members because of her outspoken tendencies.

"[Bravo host] Andy Cohen says I was the Greek chorus," Frankel said. "He said I would say what everyone was thinking. Most women overthink things. I will say something I am thinking."
