One of music's biggest rising stars is set to join the likes of Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake and others performing at the American Music Awards on Sunday, Nov. 24.

Ariana Grande announced she will be performing at the awards show, which is packing in the star-studded performances to combat a ratings slump from last year's show. This year will host more performances than ever before in AMA history, with a total of 17 artists set to take the stage.

Grande tweeted news of her performance and told her followers she already picked a dress for the ceremony. She later followed up with "don't stab me I'm wearing my hair the same as always for the AMAs cause I'm performing so I'll be nervous! I'll be blonder tho J ."

Grande is nominated for the Best New Artist award at the ceremony, where she will be going up against Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Macklemore & Lewis and Phillip Phillips. It is her first AMA nomination.

It is unclear what Grande will perform at the show, but it won't be her only performance of the week. She is also scheduled to promote her new music at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 28 and will make an appearance at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon this week.

The American music Awards airs live at 8 p.m. this Sunday, Nov. 24. Pitbull will host and perform his new single Timber alongside special guest Ke$ha.
