Miley Cyrus' Southern California house was  burglarized on Friday, Nov. 22, the day before she turned 21.

LAPD told to E! News that a victim, whom they could not officially confirm was Cyrus, discovered property was missing from the Studio City home at around 4:30 p.m. The incident occurred sometime in the afternoon and nobody was injured. There were no signs of forced entry. No one was home when the robbery took place and the thief stole some of the singer's jewelry, according to TMZ.

Police declined to name the homeowner. However, they did provide an address of a residence that is known to journalists as belonging to Cyrus. The singer has not commented on the theft and the investigation is ongoing.

Cyrus is gearing up for her performance at 2013 American Music Awards and is spending her actual birthday rehearsing for the annual awards show. The AMAs will be broadcast on Sunday, Nov. 24. The singer ditched her bleached eyebrows, which she debuted last week in a series of Twitter photos, just in time for her performance.

Sources familiar with Cyrus' plans on stage said the former Disney star will be singing her hit single Wrecking Ball and that she does plan on delivering a performance that is tamer than the one she gave at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.

The insiders confirmed that there will be no nudity, no wrecking ball and no licking of sledgehammers -- all of which was featured in the music video for the Bangerz track.

Cyrus will host a private afterparty for the AMAs at the theater of Beacher's Madhouse in Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.

The We Can't Stop singer announced her 2014 tour on Oct. 26 during a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live  Icona Pop and Sky Ferreira will headline Cyrus' 38-day arena tour, which will kick off on Feb. 14 in Vancouver and end April 24 at Nassau Coliseum on Long Island, N.Y.
