While many fans waited for Miley Cyrus' performance at the American Music Awards 2013, it was much more toned down than some expected to see.

Actor Jaden Smith and rapper 2 Chainz introduced Cyrus to the stage. They kept their presentation short, with 2 Chainz saying, "Here's one of the most talked about artists of the year." Smith added, "Ladies and gentlemen, Miley Cyrus."

The former Disney star closed out the show with a performance of her hit single Wrecking Ball. She wore a matching blue, grey and purple printed two-piece outfit that had kitten faces on it. Her short hair was swept to the side. She wore huge bracelets that looked like clear CDs on her wrists and long earrings.

It seemed as if she'd rather show off her singing skills because she skipped out on her popular twerking moves for the evening. However, her performance was complete with an oversized cat on a huge screen mouthing the words with her. At the end of the song, the cat stuck its tongue out the crowd.

Cyrus, whose house was burglarized two days before the show, turned down her performance and red carpet look compared to her 2013 MTV Video Music Award performance. The We Can't Stop singer strutted an all white Versus Versace suit with black pointed toe pumps and no bra or shirt under the blazer.

Her makeup was also toned down and looked very natural with a nude colored lip. Cyrus' eyebrows were dark brown again after she bleached them last week. She first showed off her natural-colored eyebrows on Instagram on her birthday while thanking high-end fashion designer Marc Jacobs for an early birthday gift.
