Spike Jonze's Her was the big winner at the National Board of Review Awards this year, picking up honors for Best Film and Best Director.

The sci-fi romance film stars Joaquin Phoenix, Scarlett Johansson, Amy Adams, Rooney Mara and Olivia Wilde. The film focuses on a unique relationship between Phoenix's character Theodore and a gadget, voiced by Johansson.

In a new trailer for the picture, Johansson is seen asking Theodore about his recent break up, to which he laughs and accuses her of being nosey. She asks him to get used to it. As the clip moves on we see Theodore literally wired to Johansson, who constantly talks to him through his days and nights.

His new virtual girlfriend is trapped in an electronic device. The only way audiences and Phoenix access her is through her voice.

"What is it like being married?" she asks Phoenix at one point.

"There is something that feels so good about sharing your life with somebody," he responds.

Viewers also catch glimpses of Adams, who plays Theodore's friend in the film. Theordore's friends are seen being critical of his new girlfriend, the fact that he is dating a computer and if it even counts as a real relationship. Toward the end of the trailer, Theodore is shown falling helplessly in love with talking device.

A new trailer for the film was also released on Dec. 7.
